British Telecom are coming to Sofia

In the beginning of 2007 Neterra was chosen as a partner of British Telecom in Bulgaria. BT's decision to collocate Point-of-Presence at Neterra, marks the successful completion of two years of negotiations and one year of technical preparation.

The opening of the PoP was an occasion for celebrations not only in Sofia, but in the headquarters of BT in London as well. The communication center of Neterra became PoP No. 100 in the global IP network of BT, which was extended considerably this year. For 20 years BT has succeeded in extending its MPLS network in the countries from Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS (Community of Independent States).

British Telecom is a world telecommunication operator with a complex highly technological IP network, which services the networks of a considerable number of companies-giants. The MPLS network of BT offers flexible platforms for all types of applications for data and voice traffic. As of now it operates with more than 70 countries and 1200 Points-of-Presence worldwide.
