SNG from Sofia Teleport
Description
The Satellite News Gathering (SNG) service allows TV and radio journalists to report directly form every site of event.
Neterra has professional equipment for MPEG-2 encoding and broadcasting of audio and video signal via satellite. First, the TV camera directly receives the signal, and then it is transformed into digital signal and transmitted to a satellite with coverage area of the receiving site. After the material is received by the TV station's antenna it can directly go on air or the cable network. SNG broadcastings can be organized either from Sofia Teleport or from other places in Bulgaria, or abroad.
Neterra conducted its first directly reported news via satellite on 6 April 2001, when Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha made his first media statement from his residence in Vrana. The statement was transmitted to the bTV news studio - the only TV channel that broadcasted the event directly.
